Surface Treatment of Polycarbonate Tubes.

To achieve different optical effects in LED lighting fixtures, the surface of the polycarbonate tubes used in LED lamp housings typically undergoes the following treatments:

First, the most common is the transparent polycarbonate tubes. This surface can be achieved directly using 100% raw masterbatch material. It also boasts the highest light transmittance.

Second, there's the milky white diffuser polycarbonate tubes. This is also a very common surface treatment, especially for household lighting fixtures. This surface evenly disperses light while also obscuring the interior of the lamp, making the surface more aesthetically pleasing. It also converts the LED light source into softer light, reducing glare.

Finally, some projects require colored LED lamp housings. This is generally achieved by adding color masterbatch to the raw material, allowing for the production of translucent tubes in different colors. These are typically used in ambient lighting and similar fixtures.
