First is the flame retardancy rating of plastic materials of LED track lighting. The test standard is UL 94. The test purpose is the most widely used standard for the flammability of plastic materials, which can assess the material's ability to self-extinguish after being ignited. Common flame retardancy ratings include:

1. 5VA / 5VB: The highest rating, with extremely strong resistance to flame.

2. V-0 / V-1 / V-2: Vertical burning test ratings, with V-0 being the best, requiring extinguishing within 10 seconds of being removed from the flame.

3. HB: Lowest rating, horizontal burning.

The first test standard is UL 2043, which requires the luminaire to be tested in a specific combustion chamber, measuring the degree to which the smoke particles produced by the luminaire obstruct light.

The second is ASTM E84, which measures the flame propagation speed and smoke density during material combustion. A lower smoke density index is better.

The purpose of the smoke density test is to quantify the amount of smoke produced by all materials during combustion or pyrolysis. In daily life, dense smoke in a fire is a major factor hindering escape and rescue, so this test is very important.
