Applications of PMMA Pipes

We use PMMA pipes(most people call it acrylic tubes or plexiglass tubes) in several ways. Let me give you a few examples of our own products.

First, PMMA pipes is very transparent, almost like glass. Therefore, it's ideal if you need a material with high light transmittance. A common use is as a light diffuser.

Second, it has excellent corrosion resistance. This makes PMMA pipes ideal for certain types of machinery, especially when conveying oily liquids. Many of our customers use PMMA in their equipment because it is completely resistant to diesel fuel corrosion.

Third, PMMA pipes allows UV light to pass through. We have worked with raw material suppliers to develop a special type of PMMA that is ideal for manufacturing mosquito and fly trap lampshades. This material allows UVA light to pass through, making it an ideal replacement for the old-fashioned glass lampshades in fluorescent traps. We supply these PMMA lampshades and tubing to numerous trap manufacturers both domestically and internationally and have consistently received very positive feedback.
