UV Resistance and Flame Retardancy of PC Tubes

Last time we discussed the impact resistance and heat resistance of PC tubes; today we'll look at their UV resistance and flame retardancy.

UV-grade PC tubes also exhibit excellent weather resistance, maintaining good and stable light transmittance even after prolonged periods without emitting light.

Compared to the general flame-retardant properties of PMMA, ordinary PC can achieve a V2 fire rating, meeting the needs of most applications. Some materials themselves achieve a V0 fire rating, suitable for applications requiring higher fire resistance. Furthermore, some PC tubes are even suitable for rail transportation, meeting the European EN45545 standard for rail-specific lighting covers.

In conclusion, PC lampshades are currently a suitable choice in LED lighting manufacturing. Their comprehensive advantages in strength, heat resistance, flame retardancy, and weather resistance are significantly better than lampshades made of other materials, making them the first choice for mid-to-high-end lighting products where safety and durability are paramount.
