Impact Resistance and Heat Resistance of PC Tubes

Besides being used to make transparent lampshades, polycarbonate (PC tube) can also be mixed with light-diffusing materials to create light-diffusing lampshades. Different light transmittance levels can be tailored to meet various application requirements. In this regard, PMMA and glass often require surface treatment or secondary processing to achieve light diffusion effects, giving PC tube a significant advantage in manufacturing processes.

Regarding impact resistance, PC tube is highly impact-resistant and has excellent toughness; PMMA and glass are very brittle and easily broken. Therefore, PC lampshades have a clear advantage in transportation and installation.

Regarding heat resistance, PC can withstand temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius, a significant advantage compared to PMMA's temperature resistance of only 80-90 degrees Celsius.
