T8 G13 End Cap

This is a conventional T8 G13 end cap of our company. G13 end cap refers to the end cap with two pins with a center distance of 13mm at both ends of the tube. The main purpose of using G13 end caps for LED T8 tubes is to be physically compatible with existing lamp holders (lamp fixtures) designed for traditional fluorescent lamps T8. Users can directly insert LED tubes into the G13 lamp holders of old fluorescent lamp holders. However, the power supply method of LED T8 tubes is different from that of traditional fluorescent lamps: traditional fluorescent tubes require high voltage starting (starter/electronic ballast) and current limiting (ballast). The LED tubes contain low-voltage DC LED lamp beads and driver power supplies (constant current sources).
According to the power supply access position: it can be divided into double-ended power supply and single-ended power supply.
Double-ended power supply (Double-Ended Power): This is the most common type and the one most closely related to the G13 end cap. The G13 end caps at both ends of the LED tube are used to access the AC mains (L live wire and N neutral wire). The internal drive circuit of the lamp tube is usually connected between the two pins at both ends, or there is a wire inside to connect the two ends.
Single-Ended Power: The AC mains is only connected to the two pins at one end of the lamp tube (usually marked as L/N), and the two pins at the other end are only used for physical fixation, and are not connected or short-circuited internally (acting as a jumper). This type of lamp tube has higher requirements for the modification of old lamps (needs to change the wires or use a specific lamp holder), and the plug structure is usually different from that of the double-ended one (for example, one end has two independent pins, and the other end may be connected pins or have a different structure).
