PMMA Tube

The most common member of our product line is clear, colorless PMMA Tube. In our optical laboratory, we have measured and found that clear PMMA tubing with a wall thickness of 3 mm achieves a total light transmittance exceeding 92% with extremely low haze (typically below 1%). This superior performance stems from our high-purity monomers and rigorously controlled extrusion processes. In applications where weight, breakage risk, or processing costs are critical, clear PMMA tubing is an ideal alternative to glass. Compared to glass, PMMA tubing has only half the density (1.19 g/cm³ vs. 2.5 g/cm³), yet it is approximately ten times more impact-resistant. It doesn't shatter into sharp fragments, but rather breaks into larger, relatively blunt blocks. For applications such as sight glasses, flow meters, LED lighting covers, or laboratory chromatography columns, this product, combining clarity and safety, is irreplaceable.
We also offer UV-stabilized transparent tubing. While ordinary PMMA yellows and loses strength after prolonged exposure to sunlight, our added UV blockers extend its outdoor lifespan to over five years without significant performance degradation. I personally tested samples after 3000 hours of accelerated aging treatment—the light transmittance loss was still less than 5%. This makes our transparent PMMA Tube a reliable choice for outdoor signage, greenhouse irrigation pipes, and architectural glass.
