The use of aluminum casing for LED lights can increase the life of the wick and make the LED lights look beautiful. However, the aluminum lamp cup is relatively expensive to manufacture, and the production cost is very high, and the lamp cup needs to be processed by a lathe. Therefore, some high-quality and medium-quality LED lamps will use aluminum lamp housings.
Another common LED lamp housing is a plastic housing. Due to the low cost of plastic casings, some low-end LED lamps will use plastic casings. However, the plastic shell is not easy to dissipate heat, and the plastic is easily melted and sublimated to produce harmful gases when heated. Due to the large-scale demand for cheap LED lamps in some parts of the country, plastic housings are sold in large quantities in China.
