Waterproof nut selection

Because LED lamps are used in different situations, for example, some require waterproof designs when used in humid places. In addition to using waterproof lamp casings, another key part of waterproofing is the wiring area. Let’s talk about the selection of waterproof nuts.

Currently, there are two types of waterproof joints commonly used on the market: metal and plastic. Our customers mostly use plastic materials. We will focus on the selection of plastic waterproof nuts.

The commonly used materials for plastic waterproof nuts are PP and PA. PA material has better toughness, hardness and service life than PP, so most of our customers will choose waterproof nuts made of PA.

Another important point is the selection of waterproof wire diameter. Some lamps have small wire diameters, and some lamps have large wire diameters, so we need to choose waterproof connectors based on the wire diameter used in the lamps.

Below are the specifications of our regular waterproof joints. You can choose according to your own design needs.

Our waterproof nut connector wire diameter:

M12X1.5: 3-6mm

M16X1.5 regular: 4-8mm

M16X1.5 big head: 5-10mm

The colors of the waterproof connector are black and white gray, and you can choose according to your needs.
