How Colored LED Plastic Diffusers Avoid Color Aberrations

All our LED plastic diffusers can be colored according to customer requirements, but how can we avoid color difference inLED plastic diffusers during the production process?

First of all, it is necessary to increase the mobility of the melt. It should be achieved by increasing the extrusion temperature instead of increasing the extrusion pressure, but the temperature should not be too high. If the temperature is too high, theplastic will decompose, the color of the product will become darker, and the surface will become darker. Defects such as silver wires, dark stripes, black spots, and air bubbles appear, and the physical and mechanical properties also decrease significantly.



Secondly, the die should be thoroughly cleaned after heating, and the accumulated dead material and impurities should be cleaned up to avoid the miscellaneous color mixing on the product.

Once again, when starting up, if the material stored in the barrel is PVC, POM and other resins with low molding temperature and poor thermal stability,plastic cannot be used to clean the barrel, nor can the temperature of the barrel be raised, but should be At low temperature, use PE, PS and other resins with better thermal stability to clean the barrel. Then increase the temperature of the barrel to theplastic processing temperature, clean the barrel with PC recycled material, and empty other resins before processing with new materials. 

Finally, for a temporary shutdown of more than 20 minutes, it is required to reduce the temperature of the barrel to below 160 °C, so as to avoid the degradation and discoloration of the material caused by the shutdown time for too long.
